J.H.McDonald III was long a fan of and participant in online writing forums. He favored ones with a science fiction or fantasy tilt, mainly because of the fun he could have with the subject. Yet as he continued writing, he constantly saw positive feedback on how his more unique take on topics that are often treated in a rather formula and predictable manor. With these positive reviews, he has opted to take this hobby from the web forums and apply it to long form novels for publishing.
J.H.McDonald III is highly educated, having degrees in architecture, management and computer science. He has held jobs as a commercial pilot, a bus driver, and even a delivery driver. But after several layoffs his current day job is that of a computer programmer. Yet his real love is his writing, creating the worlds that have lead to his free main series: Yuna, How to Colonize a Planet, and Arida. Each of these stories are in rich and detailed worlds, with unique characters in often very challenging situations. He loves creating characters with varied backgrounds and introducing non-traditional concepts, even if they aren’t the most popular. Yet, as he has realized on those online sites, if you constantly right about the same things, then you do not get anything unique.
